Poetry for Thought
A Collection of Untitled Works
Mind tangled in the reeds of this place
Whispering, banking
Cold by the waters;
I cannot go back to the world I once lived in
A time before quakes through
The trees, curling on the wind.
The past is over and done.

The blackened tears of stone façades
Peer down in silence at the bustling hum thrum way
Their broken wings, dismal
Portray stories of forgotten days
And through it all they bare and grin
Though the stains streaming, weep keen mourn
To seek the pin points of light again
Yet in the haze are forever shorn
-d.e.siems Madrid, Spain 2006
From the core to the fingertips
The beat pulses out into calm waters
Majestic the curling chaos breaks above
Below the clarity of no breath
In the vastness I am naked
-d.e.siems 2010
So gloriously ruined the soul
By something so primal in all understanding
A complete disregard towards each other
For much courage as that of a butterfly
Could rip these wings from our back
A love so strong and winded, a torrent
Entropy entranced a rhythm a howl to life;
Where in the sand our fingers curl.
A promethean spirit divined
Rustling the dream falls caught by a whisper
Only to climb on the dawn and scatter the stars away.
Let not such a dream slip through the fingers
Pin these wings back into place to take flight
-d.e.siems SoCal 2011
Crooked moon hast thou been made to
Ever change or be overcome by death?
Not as a precious thing, cherished
No as necessary in power, force
Waves commanded, yet trapped by the earth
To be present and unseen or ripely splitting with delight
